Work on the new roundabout at Snake Springs Junction (also known as Burnside Junction) at the intersection of SR 264, US 191 and Navajo Route 15 is continuing on schedule. During the week of June 21, 2010, drivers should expect brief traffic stops and delays of approximately 15-20 minutes as workers apply the final layer of asphalt in the intersection. Construction signs and flaggers will provide additional details.

The roundabout is open permanently. Drivers should slow down when approaching the intersection and stay within the speed limit of 25 mph through the roundabout. Work hours are from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. (MDT), Monday through Friday. The project is scheduled for completion in the summer of 2010.

ADOT and the contractor appreciate the public’s patience during construction and remind drivers to be safe and courteous in construction zones. For more information, please call toll-free 1-866-659-0655.

Please distribute widely. Share this information with your coworkers, colleagues, family and neighbors. Please forward to your employees and memberships and post for community members.
